Sun Araw and Theo Triantafyllidis launch virtual gaming experience, Velocity Holomatrix Warp 7
Velocity Holomatrix Warp 7 is an hour-long interactive exploration through a virtual planetoid.
The game environment responds in real-time to an improvised score recorded by Araw and double-bassist Tomo Jacobson at the Vinter Jazz Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2017.
The game is named for a what the musician and game designer describe as “recently discovered planetoid… that shows convincing evidence of being just such an alien bonsai sculpture,” or, in other words, outer space artworks that exist beyond the comprehension of our minds or the laws of physics.
The duo add that they hope Velocity Holomatrix Warp 7 will “create a greater appreciation for these ancient cosmic artworks, and help to preserve their legacy for future millennia.”
