New York City, NY - XXL has unveiled its picks for the next wave of Hip Hop.
Here are the selections for the publication's 9th annual list of "the new crop of future hip-hop stars":

- 21 Savage (Atlanta, GA)
- Kodak Black (Pompano Beach, FL)
- Lil Uzi Vert (Philadelphia, PA)
- Lil Dicky (Cheltenham Township, PA)
- Dave East (Harlem, NY)
- Denzel Curry (Carol City, FL)
- Desiigner (Brooklyn, NY)
- G Herbo (Chicago, IL)
- Lil Yachty (Atlanta, GA)
"One Night" rapper Lil Yachty was the 10th spot winner, selected by fan votes.
Breaking down the selections geographically, there are two from New York, two from Florida, two from Pennsylvania, two from Georgia, one from California and one from Illinois.
Alumni from previous lists who graduated on to big things include Lupe Fiasco, J. Cole, Freddie Gibbs, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, Chance The Rapper, Ab-Soul and many more.
The magazine hits newsstands on June 28, the same day as a concert in New York City by many of the featured freshmen.
