Powell releases third instalment of his 'a ƒolder' project, 'on the feet of a wind'
a ƒolder is a music and film platform launched in May by Powell, Berlin-based filmmaker Michael Amstad and Norwegian visual artist Marte Eknæs. The releases on a ƒolder combine Powell’s production and Amstad and Eknæs’s visuals into folders which are then shared online via the website. on the feet of a wind follows two previous instalments of the project, flash across the intervals_lp and multiply the sides_lp.
“[Iannis] Xenakis talked about creating universes with sound,” Powell says. “and we are all free to create our own worlds in life, art—whatever. This is what happened to me in a way: I have been in this world for three years or something, and I don’t really want to leave. The folder is a refuge.”
The digital album will be available via the A ƒolder website tomorrow, while the vinyl is due out next January 29th
