Planet Mu marks 25 years with a 15-track compilation featuring DJ Nate, Rian Treanor, RUI HO and many more

PlanetMµ25, a 15-track compilation celebrating the 25th anniversary of Mike Paradinas’ influential label Planet Mu, is out December 4th.

The label, which began as a Virgin imprint before going independent in 1998, has remained at the forefront of electronic music, acting as a crucial platform for footwork and other innovative club genres.

“We were going to make it more of a ‘thing’, have a larger celebration,” the label says on the anniversary. “But of course with Covid-19 spreading around the world at the beginning of the year we decided to revise our plans and simply release a low-key mid-price cd compilation showcasing some of the artists we are working with at the moment.”

The collection includes 15 tracks with seven exclusives, six of which will appear on albums due for release in 2021. PlanetMµ25 includes cuts from Rui Ho, Jana Rush, RP Boo, [Sasu] Ripatti, Rian Treanor, Speaker Music, a Skee Mask remix of Knox-om-Pax, and plenty more.
