LATITUDES to host panels on the Latin American electronic music scene

A new platform for Latin American electronic music called LATITUDES will host a series of online panel discussions.

The first will take place next Monday, October 12th. Titled Descolonization, it will tackle regional problems and the politicization of electronic music spaces. Valesuchi, KENYA, Imaabs and Yban L. Ratto (of HiedraH) will participate in that panel, moderated by Luisa Uribe.

The second happens the day after, focused on the precariousness of the electronic music industry in Latin America (from an “underground perspective”) and discussion of initiatives that currently exist. María Melissa Ortega will moderate that one, with participants Matias Aguayo, Verraco and Futura Artists agent Avril Ceballos.

The final panel is scheduled for October 14th, and will discuss music media and its limits, as well as ideas for new editorial platforms and paradigms. This one will feature Nico Castro of IME Chile, Manifiesta’s Nathalia Guerrero, Songmess’s Richard Villegas, Alonso Aguilar and Shams Faure.
