Laraaji reveals second solo piano album, Moon Piano

Laraaji will release a new album, Moon Piano, via All Saints in October.

The ten-track LP serves as the natural companion to the New Age pioneer’s well-loved Sun Piano LP, which came out last month. Moon Piano was recorded in the same session as its predecessor—in a Brooklyn church with Jeff Zeigler—but this time around, Laraaji explored more melancholic themes.

It’s the second in a trilogy of piano records that will conclude with an extended EP of duets for piano and autoharp. Beginning in September, Laraaji will stage a trio of livestreamed concerts at Le Poisson Rouge in New York. For more information, check out the event listings below.

Laraaji recently made an RA podcast he described as a “multi-instrumental live sound journey.”
