Happa reveals first EP in new trilogy

Happa has a run of three EPs for PT/5 Records on the way, with the first dropping on September 5th.

Explorations In Music For Dancing opens the trilogy, which sees the UK producer, real name Samir Alikhanizadeh, analysing the framework or “DNA” of dance music, according to the label. The three house and techno tracks find influence in footwork, filter house and Detroit.

Caitlin McLoughlin, a friend and collaborator of Alikhanizadeh’s, designed the EP’s sleeve. For the launch of the series, she’s also created a typeface “inspired by the spirit of club culture,” which will be made available as a free download with the EP.
