DJ Python launches label, Worldwide Unlimited, with new EP from Henzo

DJ Python is starting his own label called Worldwide Unlimited.

The new imprint is envisioned “not only as a label, but a small gesture towards community uplift,” says the text accompanying the release. The label’s part of the proceeds from each record will go entirely to a charity of the artist’s choice, with the other 50 percent going towards the artist directly.

The first record comes from Manchester producer Henzo, who first met DJ Python when he heard the latter playing his own tracks at The NQ in Manchester. Henzo is probably best known for his Strange Riddims party, which has a dancehall-inspired cross-genre approach.

Henzo has chosen to donate the proceeds for his Not Like That, Not Like You EP to Manchester’s The Rec Centre, a nonprofit space where artists, creatives and teachers can meet and record music, with BAME & LGBTQIA+ people, as well as people on universal credit, offered free use of the facilities.

Clips are available over at Boomkat. The EP is out now.
