Ben UFO, Kampire & Nicolás Jaar take part in 72-hour Radio Alhara marathon protesting Israeli annexation plan

Palestine’s Radio Alhara is in the midst of a three-day broadcast serving as an “anti-colonial, anti-racist worldwide protest” of Israel’s annexation plans.

The 72-hour marathon began today at 8 AM Bethlehem time and includes Palestinian artists as well as the likes of Kampire, Ben UFO, Deena Abdelwahed and Abdullah Miniawy. It’s currently airing on Radio Al Hara. The radio marathon, called Fil Mishmish (an Arabic phrase meaning “tomorrow, when the apricots bloom”) protests Israel’s plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank. The move to occupy Palestinian territories has been met with warnings from Egypt, France, Germany & Jordan.

The community radio station Radio Alhara is based in Bethlehem and Ramallah, but “aims to extend to other places in Palestine and throughout the world, an open platform for listening, adding, discussing and chatting.”
