Midnight Kids cannot be stopped. After a debut single that’s been topping dance music charts and remixes that are gaining attention by the likes of The Chainsmokers and Don Diablo, the duo are here with another remix in the form of their rendition of La Roux‘s “Bulletproof.”
Midnight Kids commented on their inspiration for remixing this specific track, saying, “‘Bulletproof’ has had such an impact on the electronic community, and to this day, is a smash. La Roux’s performance on this record is absolutely incredible, and we knew that we had to put our own spin on it. We both used to listen to this track on repeat and are so stoked on how this remix came out. Can’t wait to play this one out at our shows this year, and hope you all enjoy this one as much as we do.”
The vocals remain the polarizing entrance of the track, with dancing synths that fall into powerful and euphoric notes leading to the groovy drop. Side effects of this release include the strong desire to dance and singing the infamous chorus entirely too loud. The duo’s quote seems to imply that tour dates are in the cards for the up and comers, so fans should stay tuned to find out whether Midnight Kids performing live is in the future.
